Hi, I'm Joe.

I help people like you

My focus is helping you feel safe, supported, and equipped to heal.

As a therapist, I don’t hand out band-aid fixes. I help you tap into your strength, face what’s holding you back, and use EMDR to break free from the weight of trauma. I bring the expertise — you bring the grit. Together, we’ll get you moving forward.

Hear me when I say:

Overwhelm is
not a badge
of honor.

Here's how I can help you:

I believe in the importance of allowing people the opportunity to mess up, show vulnerability, learn, and grow.

Maybe you’ve been carrying this for a long time.

You might understand why you feel the way you do and still find yourself reacting, shutting down, becoming overwhelmed, or repeating patterns you thought you had moved beyond.

Therapy can help your brain and body process what happened so the past has less control over the present.

FOCUSED TIME. PERSONALIZED SUPPORT.

What if therapy didn’t have to happen one hour at a time?

EMDR Intensives offer extended time for preparation, processing, and integration. Choose a 4-hour mini intensive or half-day ($1,000), or a customized intensive across 1–3 full days ($2,000 per day).

A full day includes four 90-minute sessions, plus 30-minute opening and closing periods in both the morning and afternoon — eight hours of structured therapeutic time, with a lunch break in between.

Preparation includes 1–3 additional 50-minute virtual evaluation and treatment-planning sessions, billed separately at $150 each. Insurance reimbursement for these sessions may be available.

Joe Klemz, EMDR therapist

Hi, I’m Joe.

Certified EMDR Therapist • EMDRIA Approved Consultant • EMDR HAP Training Faculty • Licensed in Idaho, Washington & Oregon

As a member of the EMDR HAP training faculty, I help train the next generation of EMDR therapists.

My path to becoming a therapist wasn’t purely academic. I am a trauma survivor. More than two decades of clinical work later, that lived experience still shapes how I practice.

I believe therapy works best when the relationship is real — without judgment, unnecessary clinical distance, or pretending that being human is easy.
